Mark Luttrell - President
I helped found SOS pets in 1994 and have been president ever since. My motivation is giving voice to the voiceless. I've been an archaeologist, conservationist and Seward resident for 30 years. I can't say no to helping out the good efforts of several other non-profits in town.
Christiana Smith - Vice President
I have always felt the pull of nature and this includes supporting animals in need. I see the importance of supporting shelters and that is why when my family wants to add a four-legged member they visit their local shelter first. After becoming a Certified Humane Education Specialist through The Humane Society of the United States I am excited to be involved with SOS Pets. I previously worked in the Education/Interpretation department at The Alaska SeaLife Center, and as a Teacher’s Aide at Big Bay Beginnings Child Development Center.
Jane Belovarac - Secretary/Treasurer
I have been a participating member of SOS pets since 2010. I am a Veterinary Technician at the Alaska SeaLife Center. Enjoy the photo of my dog Molly!
Stephanie Millane - Board Member
I joined SOS Pets in 2016. I am a dog lover, and adopted my dog Nika from the Seward Animal Shelter shortly after deciding to make Seward my year-round home in 2014. I am also active in several Seward organizations, as well as a manager at Sunny Cove Sea Kayaking and Millane's Serenity by the Sea Cabins. I'm excited to be a part of the community of Seward and SOS Pets.
Jamie Hall - Board Member
I was born and raised in Alaska and found my home in Seward in 2012. Growing up, we always had animals in our home and I raised sheep in 4-H. My favorite way to spend time is to be in nature with our two dogs. I was excited to join SOS Pets in 2019 as way to focus my volunteerism to help raise awareness, money, and resources for animals in need.
Sarah Bondareff - Board Member
I moved to Seward in 2013 to work for Kenai Fjords National Park. I grew up with dogs, always rescue dogs, and think it's important to support our local animal shelter. There are always too many pets out there that need our love and support.
